Salaam. I'm Hala. I’m a seamstress. I make clothes in my small shop. Thobes, abayas, dresses. People come with an idea and I help make it real. I measure, I cut, I sew. Every stitch is done with care. Clothes are personal. They’re for weddings, for Eid, for everyday. I love seeing someone smile when they try something on. My mother taught me to sew. Now I teach girls in my neighborhood. I want you to know: you can make things with your hands. And when you do, you put a piece of yourself into it.
